None of the people in this gallery are related. Not even close. All the photos are part of the project of photographer Francois Brunelle.
According to the photographer, the portraits allow him to explore the intimate relationship between subjects and how they approach their remarkably similar appearances.
Brunelle said he studied the human face since he started out as a photographer at the age of 18 in 1968. With regards to this particular project, he said he was “fascinated by the resemblance between look-alikes”.
The project reportedly began in North America when Brunelle photographed two people, who looked like they were separated at birth. It all took off from there.
