Not all WWF/WWE superstars we see today, have been at the top instantly upon their arrival into the professional wrestling. Almost all of them have been wrestling in different promotions, under different gimmicks, bringing various characters to life.

Here below are some videos of your favorite wrestlers, before they came into WWF/WWE and became bigger than life. Some of them even went on to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

THE ROCK

The most electrifying man in sports entertainment. The Brahma bull. All this is about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who first debuted in the WWF as “Rocky Maivia. This is his debut match at Survivor Series.

KANE

Glen Jacobs has become known in the WWF/WWE as the “Big Red Machine” Kane, and the character has proved to be very successful as the time went on. Jacobs of course did not appear out of nowhere to become Kane. He has previously wrestled under different gimmicks, one of which was “Bruiser Mastino” in WCW. In this match below he goes up against Sting.

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN & THE UNDERTAKER

Such WWE superstars as Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker haven’t been on top since the very beginning. They also fought their way up the ladder to become the best that world of professional wrestling has to offer. In this USWA match, “Steve Williams” goes up against “The Punisher”. You can guess who is who.

STEVE AUSTIN DEBUT AT WWF

Here’s another Stone Cold Steve Austin video for you. This is the debut of Austin in the WWF, as “The Ringmaster”, introduced by the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. It should be noted that Dibiase is responsible for bringing both Austin and the Undertaker into the WWF.

DOINK THE CLOWN – GIANT GONZALEZ tag team (WCW)

And here’s a rare find. Anyone remembers such WWF heels as “Giant Gonzalez” and “Doink the Clown”? Well in this WCW bout, Matt Bourne (Doink the Clown) teams up with El Gigante (Giant Gonzalez) for a tag-team match. Sadly neither Gonzalez, nor Bourne are alive today.
